Anniversary

My anniversary is coming up. It will be 1 year of marriage. The hubby and I have been tossing the idea of going to Chicago around. We only have the weekend to do something, but we want to get away and do something fun. Neither of us has been to Chicago and don't really know what is there to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or another place we could go (we live in Fort Wayne, IN, it's got to be do-able in a weekend)?

Congratulations on your anniversary! There's tons to do there. The museums are great. Lincoln Park Zoo, Navy Pier, Second City and Magnificent Mile... All of that is downtown and near the lake which is another place to spend time, the beach walking or bike-riding. I used to live 2 hours west from there and those were things we loved to do on our weekends :) Further out in the suburbs is a Medieval Times too.
Sounds like a plan. Call your cousin Zach. Him and Lauren just went there at the beginning of the month. He had fun. Lots of things to do. They didn't have to stay at a hotel, b/c her brother lives there.But i'm sure you can find something. Zach said it only took 4 hrs. to get there from Bowling Green. So definately less for you. I can't believe it's going to be a year already. Wow, how time flys. Love ya Aunt Cordi
