Our first doctor visit

Yesterday was Mikayla's first visit to the doctor (with us as her parents.) She weighed in at 17 pounds and 25 inches long. At this time her weight is a bit of a concern for the doctor. She is in the high end for her age. The doctor does not want her to go beyond the 100th percentile. So, we have now developed an eating schedule for her. The lucky one to start today at 6am, was me. Thankfully the hubby volunteered to take tomorrow morning. I am so thankful that I have a husband who is willing to jump right in and do what needs to be done. He's not afraid of poop, spit-up, or drool. Now don't get me wrong, he doesn't like it, but he'll deal. He's fallen right into fatherhood. He's doing a GREAT job! Mikayla does have eczema and if we can't get it under control the doctor would like to send us to a dermetologist so that she doesn't have scaring from it. The worst is on her cheeks. Right now we are treating it with zinc oxide. My mom swears by it. Her cheeks look so much better now than they did when we first got her.
