Rainy Sunday

Who opened the flood gates? It's been raining non-stop since last night. There is a lake forming in our neighbors backyard and it's slowly inching toward our backyard. I don't have much to share, but thought I would check in. My motivation to workout isn't all that great. However, my clothes are starting to get to the point where they aren't comfortable any more. It's definately a sign that I need to get my big 'ol booty to the gym. I am very excited for a class that I am teaching this trimester (yes we have trimesters, not semesters) I taught it last trimester too, but I had a mix of kids from our functional life skills classroom and some have limitations that limited us from doing some things. Anyway, right now the kids are working on power point presentations. They had to come up with at least ten stretches that we could do before and after we exercise. Then each student is going to take a week to lead warm-ups and cool-downs. After we stretch then we walk. They have to walk at least 10 laps in 15 minutes. When I say laps I mean around the hallway outside of my classroom. If we go outside they have to do four laps around the track. Four laps is a mile. When I first started the class I had some students complain about how they didn't need to exercise, that they were fine the way they were. However, before we started we read some information and watched a video about the importance of exercising for everyone. Now, I hope their attitude has changed. We'll see how this next week goes. I think we will begin walking next week though. They are still working on their presentations.

About Me

I am 29 years old. I have been married for almost 3 years to my dear husband who I love so much. I am a high school special education teacher. I started this blog as a weight loss blog, however, it's transformed into a "What's going on in my life right now" blog. Unfortunately, the focus right now isn't weight loss, although it should be, but it is infertility.
